Winter months can be brutally cold. And if you cannot afford a proper winter coat, it can be even more difficult.
During its "Season of Giving" now underway, the Rose Tree Media School District has started making these times a bit warmer for those in need. The district is working to give away winter coats. In fact, they've been able to give over 500 coats to area residents.
"We thank our community members who donated 400 gently used coats, and Operation Warm, who along with FedEx provided 108 new winter coats," said the district's recent Facebook post.
And the district is not stopping there.
"RTMSD will continue to distribute over the next few weeks to those who were unavailable," said the post. "Non-perishable food boxes from Springton Lake Middle School's food drive are also being distributed, as well as grocery store gift cards from Circle of Giving 2020 and the Acme Foundation's 'round-up at the register' program."
