With frigid temperatures and snow on the ground in Delaware County, it can be hard to think that summer is on the way, but it is. Once the sunshine, long hours of daylight, and humid heat return, what’s your plan? The Township of Upper Providence has a solution: summer camp!
Three different camp options will be offered by Upper Providence Township for the Summer of 2026. With programs focused to “blend hands-on learning, sports, and outdoor adventure for kids of all ages,” each session is now available for enrollment.
This hands-on science, engineering, and discovery is open with both morning (9 a.m. to noon) and afternoon (12:30 to 3:30 p.m.) sessions available, in addition to full day options. And, in Upper Providence, the early bird “gets the worm,” or in this case, a Township-sponsored perk.
“The first six kids per session will receive $25 off of a morning camp or $50 off of full day attendance. The camp will be held at the Township Building, 935 N. Providence Road, and is open to children ages 6 to 12. From forensics to chemicals, outer space to robots, there is plenty for the science-minded camper. Themed weeks will run including dates of:
Registration can be completed online here.
Soccer, baseball, volleyball, golf and multi-sport tot camps are available for a variety of age groups (toddler to teen) throughout the summer. Schedules can be found online here. Sports camps are held at Ray Roche Park or Louis W. Scott Memorial Park, depending on the theme.
Designed for outdoor fun, this camp will feature a fishing experience for those ages 8 to 14. According to its website, campers can “connect people with nature in a safe, fun, and engaging way. Programs range from beginner camping and fishing to navigation, hiking, and wilderness skills.” All of the Hiking Hound programs are led by experienced outdoor instructors.
