From drones to vehicles, students from Paxon Hollow Middle School were shown the works.
While most of the time, they’re busy protecting and serving with them, the Marple Township Police Department staff would even admit, they have some pretty fun toys. From patrol areas jammed with technology, to vehicles with all the bells and whistles, they really have some advanced gear to help them with their jobs.
And what is more fun than having the gear? Showing it off, of course.
With a recent visit from Paxon Hollow Middle School’s Life Skills course students, they were able to do just that. Life Skills students were able to spend the morning at the station receiving a full tour. According to the Marple Township Police Department’s CrimeWatch page post on Feb. 12, the police welcomed the students with a presentation of their gear, explanation of their duties, and a tour of the facilities.
“The students received a guided tour of the station which included seeing our patrol area, police cars, prisoner area, and a short drone presentation,” said the department’s post. “Thank you to the students and staff who took the time to visit us today!”
