It can be tough to get back into the swing of things after a long holiday break. But the students at Loomis Elementary School in the Marple Newtown School District found a way to really “rock” it.
Students in the school’s third grade returned to the classroom with a touch of fun with a lesson in paleontology. The classes were able to do hands-on learning on the first day back last week.
“What a fun way to come back to Loomis after winter break,” said a post on the district’s social media page. “Third grade paleontologists and geologists went on a dig to learn about many dinosaur fossils! They really rocked it!”
Students were able to put on their very own Indiana Jones hats and try their hand at a dig. From dinosaurs to rock types, the third grade students enjoyed the fun-filled lesson.
