The new store is scheduled for an open this fall.
This fall, Media residents will have a new retail shopping option: Nordstrom Rack is coming to town.
Nordstrom Inc. said Jan. 12 that it is planning to open a 30,000 square-foot Nordstrom Rack store at Promenade at Granite Run, which is located off Baltimore Pike and Middletown Road and is the former site of the Granite Run Mall. The shopping center already includes a TJ Maxx, Michaels, Kohls, Ikea and Boscov's.
As the “off-price” division of the luxury retailer, Nordstrom Rack is the largest source of new customers for its Seattle-based parent company. The stores tout discounts of up to 70% on “on-trend apparel, accessories, beauty products, home decor and shoes from many of the top brands sold at Nordstrom stores,” according to Nordstrom.
"Nordstrom Rack is a best-in-class tenant that will help round out the exciting tenant mix at the Promenade at Granite Run further enhancing this regional shopping center and its offerings,” said Michael Markman, president of BET Investments, which owns Promenade at Granite Run.
In addition to the new Media store, a new Nordstrom Rack location will open this fall in the Main Street shopping center in Exton.
