How much screen time is too much?
That’s a question modern parents grapple with regularly, and an upcoming workshop hosted by the Rose Tree Media School District aims to help them find answers.
The free workshop, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 19 at Springton Lake Middle School, will be presented by Jennifer Rice, a licensed marriage and family therapist, and Gina Bell, a licensed clinical social worker. It promises to help participants — including both children and adults — learn how to strike a healthy balance when using the internet and social media.
Those attending the workshop will also learn about warning signs of internet and screen-time addiction, plus strategies to reduce screen time for themselves and their children. In addition to the two presenters, the workshop will feature Mike McLeod, an executive function Specialist and host of the ADHD Parenting podcast, and the organization Delco Unplugged.
