Delaware County Historical Society schedules The Winter Social for Dec. 21

Raffle prizes, music, food, drinks, and performances are all scheduled to come together for The Delco Winter Social, and you’re invited to attend. The Delaware County Historical Society is hosting the social on Sunday, Dec. 21 at Warehouse 3 in Swarthmore.


Performances by Aldo Fisk and Joe Jack Talcum of the Dead Milkmen are headlining the concert fundraiser which will benefit the Delaware County Historical Society. The event, slated for the Warehouse 3 located at 100 Park Ave., in Swarthmore, will run from 7 to 9 p.m. and include a variety of festivities to celebrate the holidays, while supporting the countywide nonprofit. 


“Proceeds benefit DCHS in our mission to protect and promote Delco history,” said the organization's website.


The show is open for those 18 and over. Food and drink will be served, and parking is paid. Doors will open at 6:40 p.m. Tickets are available online via Eventbrite here. The cost per ticket is $23.18 ($20 ticket and $3.18 in fees).


For more information, call the DCHS at 610-750-0622. The DCHS was founded in 1895. It is currently located at 9 W. Front St., in Media. The organization’s hours run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Those visiting are asked to knock or ring the bell for entry.
