Although decorative hearts are nearly ubiquitous in February, Delaware County residents can also show some love to their anatomical hearts this month at a series of free blood-pressure screenings.

The next “pop-up” blood pressure screening will be at the Lansdowne YMCA on Feb. 11 from 1 to 3 p.m. On Feb. 18, there will be a screening at the Springfield YMCA from 10 a.m. to noon, and on Feb. 25 the final screening will take place at Crozer Library in Chester from 10 a.m. to noon.

Made possible by a partnership between the Delaware County Health Department and community organizations, the pop-up screenings do not require any registration — and walkups are encouraged. Those who want more information can call the department’s wellness line at 484-276-2100.
