A snow storm may have closed schools, caused travel delays, and forced far too many of us to shovel, but it won’t keep the Lower Merion Township Police Department from meeting its residents at its traditional Coffee with a Cop. In fact, you can still catch them today for a cup of joe and a conversation.

The Lower Merion Township Police Department is hosting its Coffee with a Cop this morning from 9 to 11 a.m. at Spread Bagerly, 50 E. Wynnewood Road,  Unit 7, in Wynnewood. The original date for the event was scheduled for Monday, Jan. 26, but due to a weekend snow storm, which brought several inches of snow and ice to the region, the event had to be rescheduled.

The events are designed for residents to get to know the local officers, all at a gathering of “neighbors and police officers for coffee and conversation,” said the department’s flyer.

“No agenda or speeches, just a chance to ask questions, voice concerns, and get to know the officers in your neighborhood,” said an email from the LMTPD. All ages are invited to attend the event. Reservations are not required. The shop will be open for the event on Wednesday, Jan. 28 from 9 to 11 a.m., however the location’s hours are 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (or until sold out) daily.

For more information on the free event, call the Crime Prevention Unit at 610-645-6240.
